A controlled forest fire burn north of Santa Barbara brought smoke throughout the area Tuesday afternoon. However, by five pm westerly winds had pushed the smoke away to give us this view of Venus and Jupiter.

Jupiter, with three of its four moons in view, is seen below Venus, the brightest object currently in the sky.
