Scope/lens: C8 w/ eyepiece projection: 18mm Celestron Ortho
Mount: GM 11
Camera: Nikon Coolpix 950 Exposure: 1/30 sec.

Location: Goleta, CA
Date: 11/18/2000

This was first light for the Coolpix. The detail this digital camera can pick up is amazing.

The camera is connected to the a standard C8 T-mount adapter with a 42mm to 28mm converter ring made by CKC Power. Despite poor seeing sufficient detail can be seen on the planet including some banding. The only digital manipulation was stretching the RGB values for more surface detail.
